I am in the process of waterproofing a basement and the basement has a partial dirt floor with block foundation. There are porches and rooms that go around the entire house, so exterior work is not preferred. And most of the seepage is coming up from the floor. I need to put in interior drain tile. However, I want to pierce the concrete blocks where the weep holes are now and insert pipes so the pressure will not build. What would the best product to use to plumb through the weep holes in the blocks? Something with a screen to prevent clogs? What is the best vapor barrier product? Which sealer should I use to seal the vapor barrier? Then could use just 1 or 2inches of concrete as a walking surface to cover existing concrete and dirt floor? What mix of concrete would be best? Thanks
