I'm happy with this, with a Laser Mount added to a Third Hand you have a high functioning, reasonable setup.

PLS2--wonderful tool
I've got the David White. Nice midpriced and has the pole and mount with it.
Always trust your cape./
Hard to beat the PLS 2........... uses a steady line (vertical, horizontal, or both at the same time), which I like better than the rotating types. Uses 4 AA batteries, which seem to last a long time, even if you leave the thing on all day.
Can be mounted to a regular camera tripod, or the Laser Mount for the Third Hand pole.
Comes with a magnetic arm, so it can be attached to a steel stud; I have also used it with a cookie sheet or an old 5' bookshelf standard (if you're at a point where you can still screw stuff to a wall, etc.
