I have used danish oil or water base stain-sealer on all my interior log home projects with great results. My current client wishes to use a lacquer that will “amber” the log interior walls. Lacquer typically dries clear. Can I add a pigment or will that cause the lacquer to blotch?
I can’t use the danish oil, though it is exactly the shade he wants, because of the lingering smell. He wants oil base products as he doesn’t trust water base.

The most common way to make your own parging mix is to use either Type S mortar for block or Type N for brick and add a concrete bonding additive.
