Hi all,
Does anyone have any books they recommend on (interior) trim proportionality, typical profiles, etc?
Essentially, does anyone have a book they like similar to Get Your House Right, but for interiors?
I don’t have a backlog of Windsor One or similar “Look Books” and all the ones nowadays are fairly dominated by the 10,000 ways to use nickel gap, beadboard, and shiplap. Nothing wrong with that, but sometimes I’d like a reference text when considering my options for wainscoting, and something to leaf through with a client to show them options as well.
Any recommendations appreciated!

Check these out and I’m sure there’s some reference materials mentioned. At least you’ll get a good tool to use in your work.
Profiles? Lumberyards used to (be around) have profile sheets from folded pamphlets to full size wall hangers like they had on their walls. Now? I have one local yard and millwork that probably still has them, but a search should pull up one of their suppliers profiles/combinations.
Do you have a real yard available to you? Support it because when they’re gone we be screwed big time!
You could also peruse the Taunton book store here and I’d suppose they have something you’re looking for in print.

See if you can get a catalog from Plain English Kitchens (https://www.plainenglishdesign.co.uk/plain-english-kitchens/) or DeVol (http://www.devolkitchens.co.uk/).
They are at the very high end, so the catalogs are loaded with interior porn from some compelling historic buildings.
Thanks for these replies, some very good information contained therein! Thanks everyone.
