I am beginning to think about redoing the trim in my house, which is painted pine. I want finished wood with its grain displayed and I want solid wood, 6 panel frame and panel doors. I have visited the local building supply outlet and they offer select white pine for both doors and trim molding. I have also seen solid Douglas Fir exterior doors, which are very attractive. I would like to find interior doors and trim to match. I would also consider other woods, including white or yellow Meranthi. Can anyone offer me advice on what woods are available and from what sources?
Thanks,
Doug

How much do you want to spend?
You can get clear pine doors and trim at most lumber yards.
You can also special order doors and trim in just about any species you want. You might want to look in your local Yellow Pages for millwork shops and see what they have.
