I was asked to take over the task of installing a pocket slider in a 6-foot wide opening between two rooms. Seems the owner wasn’t sure her cousin was doing it right.
YA THINK?!!!!
At first I thought he had sawed off the bottom rail but upon closer inspection I realized that he had installed the head section first and then couldn’t figure out what to do with the pocket, so he installed it upside down and secured it with half a dozen 18ga brads and a piece of scrap sheet metal.
This house, complete with various other modifications by the owner’s cousin, is currently listed for $650,000 if any one’s interested.
(Sorry about the big jpg file, I uploaded it by mistake and couldn’t figure out how to delete it)
