Walked thru the basement the other day and saw my Bammer nailer sitting in it’s coffin. Got to wondering if there was anyone out there who is using one?

I managed to trade my Bammer for a used paslode 16ga finish nailer after only a month of frustration but a friend of mine still has his kicking around in the back of his truck. (The joys of running a cube van :) ). I think porter cable should have sent out an apology and a credit note to everyone who bought one of those pieces of junk

I retired mine to the wood shop but it still gets used once a month or so to put something together real quick. It would have been a good idea if the action wasn't so stiff.

Hey Rez; I take offense...LOL
My bammer is still kicking around after four (?) years. I used it monday to nail a couple of deck picketts until I could get screws in. I use it all the time for crown mould, not production trim.
The trick on the action is to lubricate with spray silicon.
Trust me the air trim gun is on the list but my Bummer er Bammer will always be there for the little stuff.
Old Pro, have bammer will nail
dad- where exactly does the silicon spray go?Half of good living is staying out of bad situations.
Around the lid of the garbage can, so you can take it off and chuck out your bammbamm !Do not try this at home!

Hey Mr T I understand your opinion... But the darn thing works like a champ everytime i pull it from the back of the truck!
Rez, the "barrel" that slides in and out. The PC service center told me about it.
Darn thing prabably never will die. I've done whole house trim jobs with it and hardley ever a missfire. Still it is a lot more work than a pasalode or air nailer. If I did trim full time, I'd buy the air nailer. Old bammer bummer Pro,
dad- did you ever read the caution statement embrossed on that barrel. You'd have to really get that baby cookin' to use that disclaimer.LOLHalf of good living is staying out of bad situations.
no i have not lately. 'will in the later am. You must have one Rez?
Mr T might be right, it is a pos. Big, clunky and hard as heck to push into firing position. The darn thing works. Every time I go on the hunt for fuel cells, I'm convinced that it won't run until its out of gas. but it always does. And last week two more fuel cells were purchased. I wish it would die. Then it will probably be a Pasalode trim gun until the shop is in. I've got the Pasalode Impulse airless framer as well as several air staplers and brad nailers.Old clunky & cordless Pro,
Ya, isn't the Impulse framer the cat's meow. Got the straight trim gun also. They come in mighty handy. Did you catch the impulse thread a couple weeks back about the expiration dates on the fuel cells? That saved me tearing apart my trim nailer. I was thankful as all get out.Half of good living is staying out of bad situations.
I was in a Porter Cable store yesterday........never saw a single Bammer in site, wish I'd quizzed the sales rep about them.
