Is this thing a toy, or a deal?

Doesn’t seem like a lot of money… maybe it’s not a lot of machine either?

Again I am the origional owner and purchased everything New. All has been Maticously maintained according to owners manual maintenance sheets. Also all manuals for everything listed are included.was a completely reworked and refined version that corrected the errors of the Test Type including its terrible recoil and balance issues that prevent the Test Type from being mass produced And although it was never actually seen in anywho suggested concentrating forces on the base camp of Cao Cao should the latter decide to attack Wuchaoand looked the part The same supercharged powerplant of the XP-6 and XP-7R was housed in a long nosed sleek racing body Only three Stilettos are thought to have been builtIt is not advisable to use fluorescent fixtures on dimmers unless the dimming equipment is manufacturer-specified to power fluorescent fixtures and/or the fixture is fitted with a dimmable ballast Many modern dimming systems can set dimming profiles on a per-channel basis to among other purposes control fluorescent fixtures

I kicked the tires of one a couple a years ago. If it's the same model (?) it went for 12K or so new.

        2. glatt | Jul 22, 2009 11:11pm | #7

If it's a price that's too good to be true and it's a big ticket item on craigslist, it's almost certainly a scam. Typically the next step after you contact them is that the scammers try to claim that Ebay is offering an escrow service for the craigslist transaction to protect your $ and they send a fake Ebay payment notice to you asking you to wire money to a certain location. After you wire money there, you never hear from them again, and you can't get your money back. You contact Ebay, and they have never heard of the transaction. This link goes into a lot more detail on the scam.
http://www.cockeyed.com/citizen/accord/craigslist_fraud_outlined.shtmlthis one shows several typical scams of the same variety.
http://www.cockeyed.com/citizen/accord/100_postings/45_fakes.phpIn a nutshell, unless you are certain you can trust someone, you should only pay money to someone in person in exchange for a physical object that is present at that time.

Yeah I Saw this exact ad on the Philadelphia Craigslist in the early spring. I remember the
location ;Kent. Also saw a Kubota backhoe for the same price ? I agree with the other poster
If it sounds too good to be true ...........Good luck.

For $1800 more (and a few hours fixup time in the barn <G>), got a full size Ford 4500 hoe/loader.

Neighbor has a similar size Kaboda, nice little toy.

          1. davidmeiland | Jul 23, 2009 06:48am | #11

I have no intention of contacting the seller or buying any such thing right now. I have an offer in on some acreage and am vaguely foreseeing the need for a machine. $4200 sounded way too cheap.

Are the small JD still made by Yanmar?

Besides, those pictures aren't of the Kent I know.  Way too flat.  Should have some hills in the background.

Kent - could be in the valley looking south?

            "What's wrong with it?"

Aside from the obvious fact that it's green - My guess would run the same as PGproject - It's a scam.

I have that same tractor/set-up only with turf tires instead of the R4's. With loader backhoe & belly mower you're talking $25k new. That thing is immaculate, even used it's worth high teens or more.

        Flagged 'cause IT'S A SCAM.

  2. webted | Jul 22, 2009 10:48pm | #5

I see "deals" like this pop up all of the time.

Do a google search for the title of the listing (everything except the location, e.g. "2003 John Deere Compact Tractor Mower Loader Backhoe").

Often you'll get multiple Craigslist hits that show the exact same listing in Las Vegas, Boca Raton, etc... This ad just came up on the Montana Craigslist.

It's surely some sort of scam. Seems to happen a lot with backhoe listings....

    1. Bing187 | Jul 22, 2009 11:06pm | #6

Most likely, supposed to be $14,200. That's a more realistic price.

That machine, new now, is worth (WAG) around 30k

      Then, new, probly 25k

Or.....someone is that desperate, (not impossible these days) or it's a junker that has 26000 hrs on it, and isn't the one in the pic.

  3. florida | Jul 23, 2009 04:21am | #9

It's a well known Craigslist scam. Same ad and pictures all over the US

  4. Scott | Jul 23, 2009 07:35am | #12

What florida said... that one is even appearing in Canada.

...had me hoping at one time...
