I’ve been getting FHB since the early 80’s. Sometimes I flip through it and end up reading one or two articles, more often I read about 1/2 the magazine and scour the ads.
It’s gonna take me the better part of a week, this time. The router review by Gary Katz was the most thorough tool review I can remember, and I’m not even in the market for a plunge router.
The “how to weave cedar shingles” piece by Rick Arnold and Mike Guretin was excellent, as were the article by Sebastian Eggert on making custom mouldings and the article by Scott Padget about steam bending various parts for curved decks. All three are exactly the kind of article I hope to see more of in coming issues, advanced carpentry.
The shingle style remodel was inspiring and I will be taking a longer look in the coming days at the steel framed house. Even the “basics” articles look interesting this issue.
I don’t know if it’s my frame of mind right now, or what, but honestly, I can’t remember an issue with as many articles that caught my attention. Keep up the good work.
