Itching for a Thomas and Hitachi…

Contemplating new pneumatics…
Thomas T-200ST or T-2820ST compressor – extra $$$ for dual cylinders??
Hitachi N5008AC stapler – 3/8 and 1/2 ply underlayments
Hitachi NT65MA2 finish nailer – base/trim work
All feedback will be appreciated. Thanks All.

Pull da trigga. Dems are fine choices... no brainers.
Don't do it because they are great tools, because they are. Do it for all of us who haven't bought a "real" tool in over a year. I've just been buying smaller(less than $100) lately.
That's the downfall with buying good tools. You only get to buy them once.

Sometimes I really envy you guys who work alone. View Image
It has it's moments.
Sweeping, vacuuming, and loading the truck is always tedious after a long day. That's when I miss the helper the most, but my tools last forever. In the time of chimpanzees I was a monkey.

Yes to the extra money.
check out their spec's side by side ... can't remember off the top of my head ...
but I do remember I decided the extra money for the st-2820 was well worth it.
at that time ... coupla years strong now ... 5, maybe? I decided either the 2820 ... or ... Emglo. Paying for any other Thomas didn't make sense.
The 2820 is much quieter and more powerful due to those dual cylinders.
it's out there on the net somewhere ... look for the dB's ... and output ... and refill/cycle time. If I remember ... the Thomas site is hard to navigate thru but I think it's all there in the end.

I've got the T-200ST and really like it but imho if you've got the extra $130 or so the T-2820ST costs, go for it. The 2820 was noticeably quieter to these old ears, has better output (5.0cfm@100psi), quicker recovery time, and weighs no more than the T-200ST. Not much time on the Hitachi NT65MA2 finish nailer yet but so far I like it. Light, well balanced and very little recoil and the built in dust blower is actually useful.
