*sorry
*What's in that thing? corn?
*That ladder makes me hurt. Joe H
*The silo is where the landing between floors for the stairs are.sam
*That's a new technique, isn't it? Clear packing tape to hold down the shingles?
*hey - you use what you have on hand. with the weather we have had around here the shingles where sealed the next day.sam
*Nice structure....mmmmm...what is it? Will it be used for living space, workshop?SJ
*here is some moreyes it is a house.
*side view
*Cool Sam-Could you get us a picture of the inside of the silo? Looks like alot of work for a stair landing.Nice job!Bob
*yes - a lot of work. here are a few older pictures they are not that great.sam
*this is a view laying on the basment floor (after a hard days work , or a few beers) temporary tredssam
*here is an even older picture on how it was framed
*Great shots Sam - That is quite a large palace you are building. When do you post the phone number for this "Bed & Breakfast"? Bob
*funny - thanks bob. The house looks big from that side because the door you see goes into the basement. It is walk-out on two sides.sam
*still working on it
*again
*and again
*here are some older pictures
*more
*here is a picture inside the loft - this was a wnile ago I actually have most of the sheedrock upsam
*screwed up wanted - to post this earliersam
*sam.. nice lines on the structure..so far .. so good..the radiant floor will be great....what activities will go on on that floor...?
*thanks mike -as you can tell I am building it myself. the tubes are in the basement for future experimenting maybee solar or wood. main heat source is forced air. It will be in the theater room, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. sam
*Hey Sam- How are you going to open that door after you pour the concrete?(Post#25)Bob
*That an easy one bob - the door opens to the outside.just kidding. It does look bad from the picture probably because of all the rebar makes it look narrow. but now you have me wondering how much space I have between the bottom of the door and the floor for the tile I will be installing. I think I had it all figured out. something to worry about until I get home - thanks alot (the basement floor is poured and the door does open)sam
*here is a realy bad picture after the floor was pouredsam
*sam.. that's not bad.. that's terrible.. delete it.. it ain't worth the bandwidth...well.. at least it's not upside down like all those ones from ozzie...
*some day I am going to have to learn how to take better picturessam
*and another
*got to love floor trusses
*again
*and again
*sam.. the work is great.. the pictures suck..the secret to good pictures (for most of us )is take a lot and throw the bad ones away....take 10 .. save one..that's just me , though..
*maybe I subliminally take bad pictures so you cant see my bad workmanship. Something to think about. Unless of course you can see the bad workmanship even though they are bad pictures.sam
