While flying the symbol is a patriotic thing to do.........
Since this is a day set aside for holding in memory those that fought for this country, let's do something more in keeping with that tradition. And here's a thought-do it on other days as well.
Call a vet and thank them for their service. Get in touch with a family that has lost a son or daughter defending our homeland. Visit with a vet in a VA hospital. Support those returning in their quest for a normal non military life.
The sacrifice that they have given deserves more that just a parade and a day off.
