Stan,
Boy, that thing looks a lot smaller with you and your son standing next to it. Amazing it can lift you two into the air. So does he want to be a pilot yet?
Jon
Jon: Jeff doesnt have the desire to get his license...but he sure wants to keep riding along.
The machine is very roomy for one...and with that big boy packed in there with the doors on...its tight.
It flew fine..about like a truck load of watermelons..
The gyro weighs 760...and the gross weight is 1540. That leaves 780 pounds for pilot/passenger/and fuel. Jeff is 270..I am 220...full fuel at 22 gallons is a 120 or so,. I still have plenty of reserve. It does not have a high climb rate with him in there...but it actually landed easier.
Great looking kid. Always glad to see father/son spend time together. Especially doing something scary! :-) DanT
Dan: Thanks.....it makes me smile seeing Jeff looking so healthy again.
When I saw the title of this thread I thought of Jeff Buck with his propeller hat!
Thought his mom might have posted some baby pics :)Mr T

How practical is that gyro? What are you crosswind limitations? What's it like to do cross countries in?
Asennad: It will cruise at 80 ...will do so for 3 hours and still have 1/2 hour fuel as required.
A gyrocopter will handle any wind. Crosswinds are no problem,.,,but if they get severe...you just land and take off directly into them,.,,even if its across the runway.
It's adorable. Looks like an Italian Vespa(er?) with propellers.
Who says Rhinocoat should be limited to truck beds? Cost estimate for coating the inside of a windowbox should be forthcoming next week.
