Any ideas for a skilled tradesperson to make timber window frames for sliding double glazed windows in the Castlemaine area? We need the timber to be either from where its harvesting will not permanently damage natural ecosystems, or be second hand. It also has to be BAL 19 compliant. (I’ve contacted all the bigger window manufacturers I can find, and apart from Paarhammer, which is very expensive, and would take 3 months to make the windows, and possibly a local joinery, that I’m waiting to hear back from, none uses timber I would be happy with

A cabinet shop would probably be your best bet. Or maybe a furniture maker. There are often local versions of both.
