Just popped in to see what condition…

jagwah | Posted in General Discussion on December 7, 2010 11:48am

Been a while since i’ve been around. Thought I’d see if it’s gotten any better. Thought I’d see if it’s worth hanging around. It looks to still be difficult to get a big picture idea of everyone.

Can’t be up much later any more since my business carped out and now I’m working as an estimator for a fixture company. I’ll check back tomarrow and spend some more tim flopping around the postings.

    Hey Bob. Don't know when

    Hey Bob.

Don't know when you jettisoned out of here, but I'd say things are not as bad as they got, but are by no means as good as what they were.

It will take some time to regain momentum; maybe you'll be part of it.

I'd say DanH and Calvin are the new posting prodigies.

xxPaulCPxx is a spam slayer like the world has never seen; i.e. Zeus tossing anti-spam thunderbolts from atop Mt. Olympus....

    Duck!! Hit the Deck!!!!

    Stay tuned.....

Then you're snorting it the wrong way.

Hitting Decks and lubricating mucus with coke

Well I'm going to give it a try. It doesn't look a lot better but then I haven't shared the battle with you all and for all I know it's greatly improved. Most of my trouble at  being around now is my working hours.

As for the coke snorting, I've always managed to get it out my tear ducts as well.

I pop in from time to time to see if there's much of a change myself but it still seems real slow. Doesn't seem to look like there's much momentum. FWIW I pretty much only go into John Bridges forum and JLC from time to time and thats about it.

JLC at this time seems to be the best place for building info. For bullshidding..well...no where seems to work at the moment. I never thought I'd say Facebook is a good place for social info but at the moment thats the best I can find and that ain't sayin' much.

Facebook even terminated my daughter Jolies acct for posting nude photos which were hardly nude being  they're purposely out of focus (she's a photography student at SVA).

        She's a chip off the ol' block...lol.

Someone has mentioned you have taken an MIA from the backroom.  I see the link is gone.  You done with that headache?

            Cal

             It's a waste of time imo...can't say I didn't try.

Hey...I know when it's time to throw my hands up'n move on.

I may have brought most of the people over there in the beginning but it's Jerrald's site so....

Things come in phases and go full circle so I'm jus' sittin' back right now and passing the popcorn and chillum : ))~~

Workin' on this new 1950 crib tryin' to have it ready to sell in another year'n a half. Still working on getting to Black Mtn NC. ..speaking of which..Katrina and I visited there about a month ago searching for property. We actually found something up top a mtn (2800-3000 ft elev) we really like so we're going back in Jan to see it when it's nice and cold out and all the leaves are gone b/4 we make an offer.

Try tinyurl.com for shortening up those really long links.

Your extra-long link is shortened up to this:

            http://tinyurl.com/3x8b9ue

            Thanks Ron..I bookmarked that site.

Take a look up just east of Burnsville

Get off the Highway, look for our old college roomates-Vesta Masonry Stoves.  He'll tip ya-been there 30 yrs.

          5. andybuildz | Dec 09, 2010 11:02pm | #12

took a bit to understand what the heck yer talking about till I Googled Vista Masonary Stoves. Thats in Burnsville which I think is about a half hour north of Asheville. Asheville's about 15 min west of Black Mtn.

            College roomates? You and Joyce's?

Katrina's SOLD on Black Mountain. It's a decent compromise. If it were just me I'd go somewhere REALLY remote in the mtns..but it ain't just me so...

..so far we've bid on land in Sebastopol Ca and lost that..then in Carmel Valley , Monterey Ca...and the guy backed out after he accepted our offer...so now?

            Buddha only knows : ))

It's way cheaper by your room-mates town in Burnsville...prolly cuz it's more remote there.

Cloud Hidden used to live by Asheville.

Where ever you go..there you are : )

edit: oh yeh..guess what I bought last week? A Multi Master..bout time huh?

            Vesta (with an E)

I tried to include a link to his site-seems no loading-must be sunspots.  Try it later Vestamasonry.

He can maybe tip you to what who and where to find things in that area.  Might help in your build.

Here's one of his stoves.  Has a European flair-he's traveled extensively learning his trade.  Teaches it / learns it-quite a trip.

          7. andybuildz | Dec 09, 2010 11:33pm | #14

yeh, I know. I already looked through his site  http://www.vestamasonry.com/

Very very cool! If I end up there I'll for sure look him up!! 'Specially since I wanna make the center of the timber frame several fireplaces all in one which'd include a Rumsford fireplace with pizza/bread oven and an out door fireplace. Looks like he'd be the dude to jaw with.

The design I have in my head is sumpin' like this..   http://tinyurl.com/2azxmwn
