I’m in the design stages of a home in northern New York, (Lowville). For energy efficiency I am considering either stick built with spray foam or SIP’s. Both seem very good, prices are competitive, but I am wondering on the SIP’s, how do you hang kitchen cabinets on an exterior wall? What structure must be added if any? It is a ranch home with a full basement so would the electrical have to run up from the basement at each outlet and switch then back down to meet another ? Also, I am going to use 1″ tongue in groove throughout, will nailing on the tongue hold in the osb to keep the joints tight? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Depending on who manufactured the panels, there may be a nailer embedded in the foam to hang cabinets. As for wiring, some panels come with precut chases or a hot knife is used to cut them where needed. I am sure those with more experience will give more details.
