Hello all,

I recently have had quite a terrible experience with a local “custom” cabinet shop.  Custom being in quotes is part of my on-going frustration with this local shop.  There is quite a story here but it is not my reason for posting so I should just get to it.

My 11×13 kitchen is installed and ready to be stained.  I have selected the stain color on a sample door made of the same material  ( Cabinets are made of Beech ).  My current cabinet shop has left me hanging  – their stain crew was supposed to show up today at 8am.  It is now 5:30 pm as I am writing this message.  Not only have they not called – the shop I am / was working with told me when I called them to find out where their crew was that the crew is subcontracted and I would have just keep trying to contact them. 

So what I would like is a recommendation to a cabinet finish / stain shop so I can get my kitchen project done.    I’m pretty easygoing (usually – but no-show on me a few times and I do get a little crankier) but really want to have this done NOW.  So if any one you out there know of a good cabinet stain shop / finisher in the Bay Area ( Northern California)  – please let me know.
