I plan to install 1/4″ 4X8 sheets of beadboard on strapping that has been installed perpendicular to the ceiling joists. Is the beadboard, generally speaking, up to the fire code (generally speaking)? Should I sheetrock first then install the beadboard? Appreciate the help. Habs

Most assuredly hang the drywall first, and fire tape at the minimum. That beadbd isn't masonite I hope? How big is this project and how do you plan to deal with the seams on the ends?
