We (the wife and I) are in the market for a new kitchen faucet. We’d like the kind with a pull-out head for spraying.
Anyhow, I was looking at a few of the bigger names…. Price Pfister is out because they are made in China.
I am wondering what reputations are like for Moen, Delta, Hansgrohe etc… there is one I saw by Hansgrohe that I like the most thus far.

We've been super happy with the pull-out from KWC. Worth the money. I don't have a model number at my finger tips, but if you're interested I'll look it up.

I am not familiar with KWC. What is the long version of their name?

We install Moen faucets when given the choice. I think for the money they are reliable and we have few call backs on them. Any call backs we have had we are able to drop in a new cartridge and be done with it.
Here is my favorite kitchen faucet. I have had one in all my homes that I live in.

You can shop it and save 50-75 bucks a unit and sometimes they will be on ebay if you like to do that. DanT
Here's KWC -- http://www.kwcamerica.com (I'd never run across them before this thread)I've had good luck with Hansgrohe in my kitchens and lavs. The Delta that's in my kitchen now is just ok. I'm not crazy about the mixing valve in it.
Hey Pete... Here you go...

Let me know if you're interested, it's never been installed, I stole a nut out of it to finish another unit.
Hansgrohe is the foo foo brother Grohe USA. They make a quality product, but usually in metric. They have been supplying adapters, but typical with a lot of highend companies they seem to forget pieces sometimes.

What is the deal with the head? Does it pull out? it has an odd appearance for using as a sprayer but then again, maybe I'm just seeing it wrong.
So, what does a nutless faucet go for these days?

Yes the head pulls out, there is two nozzles on the head.
One is for spray & the other is stream, that lever on the top is what switches is from one to the other.
I can get a new nut no problem.
Retail is $400 to $600---- I could let it go for a C note plus shipping.

Wow... that is a very generous offer. Thank you.
The only problem I see is that the faucet appears to be designed for a single--hole sink. I have a 3-hole sink and would need an adapter plate.... does this come with one or is it available?
The other thing is that I'd have to get an approval from the "boss"... you know who that is.

Let me do some checkin on the cover plate, this one doesn't have one.
I'm not positive, but pretty sure Franke makes them.
We could make it a package deal with soap dispenser, & insta hot ;-)
Yeah I know how the boss thing works.

I'd like to give Delta a small cheer. I installed one of their shower mixer units in my last bathroom renovation.
There was a problem with the plastic innards, an expensive part which needed to be removed while the main body was having it's copper pipes soldered in place.
After the 800# customer service rep asked me a few questions to satisfy their criteria about the nature of the failure, he sent immediately sent me a new one. Had it in a couple of days. Very pleasant and professional approach to customer service.
So, what does a nutless faucet go for these days?
The PC term is "eunuch faucet." Or "reproductively challenged faucet." Sorry, couldn't resist, but did stop after two!
It is clearly my fault for having started it.

Well, at any rate Happy Thanksgiving! I ate at about 3 and am so full I can hardly stand it! Made a sweet potato pie--had heard about them, but don't remember if I ever ate one (though probably had some if Laurel, MS when I was there)--I guess I'm used to pumpkin pie; I like pumpkin a little better (more flavor).
Yeah, I'm avoiding all sharp objects at the moment beceause I am so full of food that I could pop.

price pfister rusts- both inside on the stems and on the outside finish
Replaced an import kitchen faucet in my kitchen with a Moen. Compared to the installation procedure & body contortions for the old one this was a cinch. Have others for the bath-shower that are now 18 years old. Replaced one cartridge in all that time. Have American Standard in a recently renovated bathroom and have similar regards for ease of installation.
Import unit had a good warranty and sent repair parts quickly but it just gradually went "downhill" despite my best efforts so I replaced it.
I figure pay a bit more now or pay later - if not in cost of parts then the aggravation & time to do repairs.
I vote for the Kugler Swisstap, if you can get one. The outfit I worked for put in hundreds of those over the years.
One call-back.
