attached is a picture that of a Kitchen that I have been working on for 3 years. We added another 200 sf to the kitchen and replaced all floors, cabinets, ceiling, appliances etc — its been a big push.
We are close to finishing — we still need to get that back splash up and a couple of other minor things like the doors that were damaged in delivery but we finally have what we need to enjoy the fruits of our labor — here is a picture of a glass panel that will go in the the inset above the cook top. Actually it is fused glass so it is easy to clean and the shelf part will have the matching absolute black granite — surrounding area will all be tumbled marble that is 3×6 — we are excited to be able to do other things besides buy supplies and work on weekends — all the best — Dudley

Very nice. Where did you locate the flower panel? I think I have a location for something like that.
Cadd6 -- the panel is actually anything you want -- this is something inspired my wife -- the panel is actually set back in the brick wall 6" and has a matching granit top to the counter top -- the Calla lilies and irises (not sure you can see against the black background) is actually black glass and then the flowers and leaves are fused on the panel by heat -- the surface is all glass and easy to clean -- guy from NC does the work -- his wife does the art work and then he creates in glass
Does this glass artist have a web site? I would like to see what else she/he has done.
Do a google on - fused glass panel - and you will find a number of different craftsman and expamples.
Thank you for the info. Do you have a close up of the panel available?
Beautiful - calla lillies and irises - very elegant look!

Man, I hate to break the bad news to you but that cabinet set-up would never get past inspection with those apothecary drawers so close to the burners.
they dont call 'em burners for nothing.
Maverick -- this kitchen is a work in progress -- the sides of the apothary drawer cabinets will be all faced with tumbled marble -- 3/8ths of an inch thick -- designer has said he as done this many times -- 16yrs in the business. Dudley
its been 3 years. what are you cooking on in the mean time?
Maverick - we use the center burner that is against the back wall with a stone that protects the back DW until the splash block is installed -- Dudley
