I’m installing about 800 sq ft of unfinished engineered flooring in my basement. It’s white oak with a 4 mm wear layer. It’s character grade which looks good but has more open knots than I was expecting. I know epoxy is often suggested but hundreds of them seems like it could take a lifetime and add up quickly. Is there a trowelable product that won’t work it’s way loose over time? Would knottec glue sticks be a good option? Planning to use Rubio monocoat for the finish. Looking for something that’s, good, cheap, fast, and easy so I’m sure it won’t be hard to find.

Have you contacted Hurst for a recommendation?
They told me to buy grey putty from Home Depot or Lowe’s. I did call a local flooring supplier this afternoon who recommended wood wise patchquick which looks pretty good to me.
Best of luck!
