Know anything about fin-type hot water radiators?
I need to replace an older Trane hot water radiator. I have a gas boiler. The previous owner removed the radiator because it leaked and he got rid of it. The pictures are of the identical radiator in another room. I haven’t been able to find a source for a replacement radiator.
Any ideas about what I could do? Could I replace it with a long stretch of hot water baseboard? I’ve seen a brand of wall mounted radiators called myson online but am not sure that they would be compatible. Any information or advice would be very helpful. Thanks in advance. Dan

In my expirence, I would think that the first thing I would do would be fined the output , (BTU) of this rad, or the heatloss of the room this is to heat, so you can replace it with a rad that will do the job. If this is a fintube type, it is best to replace with another fintube, Cast iron does not work well on a fintube system.
IMO: that is a commercial looking rad for a residence, might want to replace with a baseboard rad. Is there a blower in that rad???
Heatinghelp.com will be great help for this, good guys there!!
