A warning to others not to rely upon Kohler to supply any high-end bathtubs to your jobs. I ordered one 10 months ago for a very high-end home renovation and have been told a series of lies about when it would be delivered for a project that is now finished.
After a lot of effort a senior executive told my distributor that Kohler stopped making most of the high-end products last year to focus only on best selling items.
Yet Kohler did not advise their sales reps or distributors of this decision and continued to take orders and outright lie to customers about the shipping dates of discontinued products.
Do not believe anything the customer help line tells you — it’s all made up corporate speak designed to confuse the situation (if you get through t0 them — they will not answer the phone or give you a phone number of anyone to assist you). They are destroying their reputation.
In my case I was finally told by my distributor that this model would not likely be made until end of 2022 (if/when they resume production) after having been told it was in fact already made and on the loading dock to be delivered to me for the past 90 days.
I had to select a different model that the distributor had in stock in order to finish the project and obtain the CO.
To add insult to injury, Kohler insisted that I had to pay the new much higher price for the replacement model (that would fit the now completed space) and offered zero assistance or even any apology for lying to me for past six months. Thankfully the distributor and my local dealer agreed to sell it at cost after they apologized profusely for Kohler’s awful treatment.
So steer your clients to other manufacturers who actually deliver and understand that it’s inexcusable to treat customers like this.
