planning on a laminate floor in an older kitchen – walls are tile to the floor (tile is in very good shape) with no way to attach molding/quarter round – considering using T-molding/transition strip but at $13 per 46″ piece, little expensive for going around the room (only about 12×12 room, but…..) – any alternatives from anyone?
also thinking about making my own “T-molding” but then the time might make the $13 “cheap”
thanks

Can't you shoot the 1/4 round to the floor and not the wall?
No, you can't. Laminate floors need to float for expansion and you can't fasten them to the floor.
Yes U can.
1/2" or 5/8th 23G pin nails.
18G even ...
it'll float.

No, but you could glue qtr round to the tile wall.
I thought about gluing the quarter-round to the wall but what adhesive to use and I really think it would look kind of "hack" against the tile - also, which trim to use with the tile? - wood against the tile might not look too good either - any suggestion from some tile guys with tile quarter round?
What about some sort of tile base?
