Laminate flooring on the ceiling???????

I have a customer that wants to put a 3/8″ engineered flooring on her ceiling. I don’t think it will get much foot traffic but am curious if any of you guys have done this and if there are any tips or things to think about. Not sure I want this job. Thanks for any input.

Why not?
Strap the ceiling. Nail away.
Unless you can find Click & Stick Laminate Ceiling <G>
I'd take a look at the Armstrong ceiling panels.

If you're talking about Pergo style flooring (glued together), it sounds like a huge PIA.
You'd have to nail it to keep it up there, and that could be a nightmare

What Jeff suggests is what belongs on the ceiling. Mounts with clips, no exposed fasteners except the start and finish. 3/8" thick, wood grain and it looks good. Check it out here:

I did that in a closet ,but with prefinnished hardwood.
I've got a customer who had me install engineered floating cork flooring in their kitchen and family room. They decided they wanted cork on the ceiling of the family room too. The company makes matching cork tiles that I was able to adhere to the ceiling with contact cement. It looks awesome.
