Does anyone know of a laminate gym floor that has a foam backing on it? Trying to get more for a friend of mine for his church gym and they already have it installed but it was not originally theirs so no brand. They are sure somehow though that it was a laminate specifically for gyms.

I have some information at my office on a gym floor we put down about 6 years ago. I even have some scraps - the pattern we chose was a maple floor appearance with some dark burgundy insets.
Does he need large scraps, or just a manufacturer and source ?
I'll get back to you on Wednesday, 8/26.

Just a manufacturer and source so that they can proceed in purchasing. I just can't seem to locate it anywhere on the net and this guy is adamant its available. Thanks Greg for helping me out... and you to Rez
Armstrong makes a vinyl floor too called cushion step. You can check with them to see if you can get anything large enough.
Here you go, a link to Mondo Sport Flooring. We (my church) bought a 3/4 court basketball surface from the in 2003. Our supplier was Southeastern Surfaces & Equipment from New Smyrna Beach, FL.

I hope this is some help to your friend. I also had some old notes on a similar product called Taraflex. You can Google for that.
Looks like the current Mondo line is 7mm. What we bought from them was 6mm. It's basically a cushioned vinyl, with a little bit of a scuff texture for the sports floor application.
