Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!
I'll check.
Kinda hard to get a handle on what's going to work in all aspects without spending enough to get a dedicated vehicle.Remodeling Contractor just on the other side of the Glass City
Just saw this in the new issue of JLC (http://www.otterbox.com/products/pc_cases/)

I've come across that in my search process also.
Pretty cool.
Restrictive to just the laptop, size wise.
Still in the running.
Abit pricey, but a good value for what it offers.Remodeling Contractor just on the other side of the Glass City
I wouldn't worry so much about the case as I would the laptop. A high quality contractor grade laptop is made to travel in rough conditions much better than low end consumer grade laptops. I am guessing you already have a laptop, if it isn't quality then get a backup hard drive and upload to it daily. If you are in the market for a laptop check out:
Lenovo Thinkpads
Panasonic Toughbooks
Samsung SSD

I started out with a padded case I got from Office Depot, but once I got the Jottodesk for my truck I don't use the case that much. It usually just gets carried from the truck to my office. The only time I use the case is going into the customers home or if I'm flying.
I am liking that hardcase they showed in JLC though. <g>
Andersen Windows gave me a nice soft attache' case... it's perfect for my 17" laptop
see if your window distributor has one
here's what it looks like.... and it has lot's of room for other paraphanalia

I would think you'd end up with too many twinkie crumbs in your keyboard after awhile...Remodeling Contractor just on the other side of the Glass City
it's the seeds that get annoying....

I've been using the Fine Homebuilding goodie bag from Northfest. Perfect size with mesh pockets on the outside.

Damn, another reason I shoulda made a fest.
Just to be clear - you do keep your laptop in it - right.
Or is this where you keep your bowl and twinkie seeds ? - ;)
Thanks, so many options I don't know what system to set up. Lots of parameters and concerns. Think I'll drink on it.

I don't keep my laptop in it, but I haul it in it. Don't eat twinkies and don't keep the seeds.http://grantlogan.net/
"Because I really want to live in a country where the poor people are fat. "- Unidentified Indian Immigrant when asked why he wants to come to America
Keep?
Crackin' me up.
Don't know how this got here, but it's semi entertaining.
Don't partake - twinkies or seed producing "herbs".
But I have - just didn't exhale - ;)
