ok
ok, i have irfanview, how do i reduce the file size so much?caulking is not a piece of trim
Roar!
Click on Options in the Irfanview menu.
Under Set File Association check all those squares from ANI to WMA and click OK. That'll put any pic into a jpeg when you use that each time you are posting a pic.
Then click Image and scroll to Resize/Resample and click it open. The window says 'Set new size' check this circle. Generally setting a 640 width and thus 480 height for common pics serves purposes well with a decent screen size. Check the pixels circle also. Overlook that percentage and half double stuff. Set and click OK.
Under image is also an 'Enhance Color' tab where you can lighten dark pics for better clarity by sliding the 'gamma correction bar'.
Back in the irfanview menu under File click save as and the pic will be ready for posting.
Cheers

Nice looking kitchen, Steve. Out of curiosity, how much space is there between the island and stove? Does the oven door create a roadblock when its down?

the island was spaced evenly between the stove and fridge side, and i believe the gap was 42 inches per side, so not really
funny thing was on this project was that right where the island is used to be an outside wall, the whole island had to be scribed to the new floor by almost an inch at the old rim joist
thanks for the nice comments all, i'll post some other pics from other jobs if there is interest
bearin mind that all of my kitchens are "stock" cabinets and usually postform topscaulking is not a piece of trim

He posts the monster and you talk about how good it looks. We just sit and sit and salivate. You're teasers - the both of you. There should be a rule against that.
he rubs it in every chance he gets...

that's nice!!!
thanks fer the down size...
Thanks for the downsized picture. It is really a sharp kitchen. I never cared for open base cabinets, and glass doors down there scare me too. But I have to say, they look really nice.

thanks for the comments guys, it amazes me what can be done with "stock" cabinets and some imagination
i salute the designers at Home Hardware in Sarnia, Ontario, they design the stuff i do and their comment is always "steve will make it work"
the kitchen in those pics had three cabinets built be me from prefinished panels from the cabinet manufacturer plus one cabinet built wrong by the manufacturer
nothing like standing over a 1000 dollar cabinet with a skilsaw in hand!!
