Here’s some pics I just got back from the last kitchen job. I was subbed to do all the finish work……drywall was hung and sub floor laid….I did the tile, the hung the cab’s, the top was subed thru another company and they set it too…..then I built the column base and set the column…then trimmed everything out. There’s a 1/2 bath right off the kit that got the same floor and a matching vanity…one one of the most complex and heaviest mirrors that I’ve ever hung.
Will have more pics later with the tile backsplash that I did directly thru the homeowners…..that really dressed up whole place.
Later, Jeff

I remember seeing this layout before but it must have slipped down off the list pretty quick.
Give a hint, Is there some water spalling that didn't let the stain take just right?.

Is it the tonal variation of the stain on the base cabs next to the plastic blackcovered dishwasher in the last pic?Character? I never had any problem with character. Why, people've been telling me I was one every since I was a kid.
Check the "stove run" pic.
I subbed this job for the install of the tile and cabs. The cab's are Kraftsmaid.
Take a close look at the upper corner cab.....which would make it on the right side of the room. The arch top doors came with square.
It was picked up upon unpacking. I told the quality control/cab ordered....she checked with Kraftsmaid.....they said no prob...they'll replace.....but as this was on a tight schedule before T-Giving...I installed with the idea to replace right after the holiday.
Well....seems Kraftsmaid lied...or got confused. The small 9" door couldn't take an arch top.....so the corner had to be replaced.....and the cab next to the micro went from an 18 to a 15..so the corner could be up sized to a 12 with an arch.
Simple huh?
Luckily, I had installed the crown by back-screwing. I loosened enough to swing it up and outta the way.....loosened all the cab screws.....got both cab's out without too much pain......new ones slipped right in.......kinda sorta........and got the under cab lighting wired back up lickity split.
I still have the backsplash film on my deck...maybe I'll drop it off tomorrow...really dressed up the whole kitchen.
These folks later told me I "saved their kitchen" project! There was a bit of tension with the designer based on time delays. When it was first bid...I guess they were told "by Halloween"......I showed up and said not a chance in hell....MAYBE by T-Giving. T-Giving came..and they had the family over. Funny what a little straight talk after a bit of BS can do. They're now at the top of my referal list!
Bad situation all over the place..the original designer left the firm shortly after giving the bid...I think he may have "over-promised". Oh well...I told them they'd love the company after it's all said and done...and they do. Can't fault a slow project if the gola is perfection.
