What is the saafest, most efficient, cheapest way to build up a masonry chimney in the center of a 10:12 sloped roof right at the ridge? The house is two stories plus a full attic and the chimney is approximately 4′ by 6′ with brick veneer. Any advise would be appreciated.

*Kyle, Start at the footing when you get about three feet above the roof ...stop. Or you could always hire a mason.
*I suspect that what you want to know is how to hang brick veneer off frame construction when it doesn't extend to the foundation wall? As in shelf angles, etc.?
