A friend of mine in Calif. had a great square for layout. He said he got it at Home Depot of all places. I’ve checked and cannot find it. It was in a “T” shape. 3 1/2 inches wide about 8 inches high. Each of the legs were 3 inches, so it was perfect for squaring lines over on plates. The width was for partitions. Also had marks for cripples, etc. It was aluminum. Anyone seen it or know where I can find one.
Thanks, John

Sounds like a layout stick. Off the top of my head I know Bigfoot Tools makes them and I believe Pairis Industries still makes them. If it's not a layout stick then it's probably a channel marker. Either way, check out http://www.bigfootsaws.com as they offer both.

Hey John,
I think what he has is called a"Universal Square". Google it and it should come up.

That's it. You're my hero.Thanks, John
I think I just saw one of those @ Home despot.
Hard to describe- T-shaped but not in the T-square kind of way.
T-shaped in a three dimensional way. IE you could turn it
upside down and it would stand up.
Boy that makes no sense at all. LOL

I've stood in line waiting to check out and watched the video for that thing many times.

Trust in God, but row away from the rocks.
I recently saw them at my local HD. Just ask them. They should be able to call around and get one for you.
