Think I’ve brought this up before.
House is late 19th century, built by an architect for his mother. The floor of one of the rooms is about 1.5 – 2″ of stained concrete on the subfloor, with decorative inclusions.
Anybody know if they were using any kind of lead in concrete pigments back in the day?
Upgrading the footings and columns that support a girder beam is an opportunity to level out the floor above.
