We have a Bosch dishwasher that’s about a year old. It has worked fine until recently, but now it often leaks water out at the bottom corners of the door. My wife says I put too much soap in… but she likes to blame me for everything… plus how can I be held responsible when she keeps buying different brands of soap!
Is she right?

I have a Bosch also l would not buy any other brand, my sister has two in her kitchen. Too much soap is not the problem even if you filled the cup to the top you can only get so much soap in there and close the lid.
There should be three seal one on the left and on the right bottom corners of the cabinet the third on the bottom of the door check all for rips or tears, lift up the door bottom seal and run your fingers under it checking for a missing knife or some obstruction. Look for any dents on both the door and cabinet. Other wise check for plum and level an unleveled dishwasher can leak.
Call Bosh warranty may still be in effect. If not tell them you thought you purchased the best made, and must of been wrong a 1 year old should not leak. I also tend to go crazy on the soap we use the gel bottle clogs I squeeze too hard well you know how it is, and ours does not leak

I'm going to ditto what Wallyo said.

Me too except the " lift up the door bottom seal and run your fingers under it checking for a missing knife or some obstruction." How about we use someone elses fingers for that? :-)
Thanks for he vote of confidence, made me feel good.More like a chopstick then a knife to get in there but, needed to get something for someone to pickup up the humor on.Wallyo
Could be a bunch of things. I used to do warranty work on most major appliances but not Bosch. Come to think of it, I don't even remember Bosch being available.
One problem could be of course the wrong soap. I mean, really the wrong soap. Not sure about too much of the right soap. Never saw that.
If a spray arm is stopped or going too slow the water stream from the arm, concentrated in one spot with go through the seal. Hard to believe but true. Not high pressure but constant.
Depending how the water into the appliance is regulated you could have too much water.
Water could be getting through the soap dispensor "into" the door and running out the corners.
Doors used to be adjustable by moving the door closing hook which created a tighter seal.
Dishwasher set in place wonkey and door doesn't align.
Your seal could be gone.
You might own a leaker.

Yeah, all the time. They're always right, even when you know that they're not, just remember that. Wife = right.
Do you have hard water?? Clean the seal and door edge with white vinegar.
Every brand DW I've ever owned eventually leaked at the corners. I wipe up the clumps of soap residue under the gaskets and the leaks go away.
Forgot to follow up on this earlier. The door seals needed cleaning under and around. Used a scrubby with some vinegar and removed the very minor crust building up in the area. Completely fixed. Wife was wrong.
Good to know . About the leak being fixed that is. Wife is never wrong .
