I got a Sawbuck Frame and Trim saw a while ago. While changing the blade, I noticed that the saw blade screw is very short. It only has at most 3 turns to hang on to the motor (as shown in the picture).
I suppose the saw portion is just a circular saw. Since I haven’t had a circular saw, I wonder if this is normal. It looks quite precarious. The Delta part number for the blade bolt is 422-25-112-0001. Mine looks OK from the picture.
The manual doesn’t say the torque value for the blade bolt. What is a typical value for it?

It doesn't look too bad. Aren't the threads fully engaged?
It could be short for safety. It keeps folks from using a dado head for one thing.
I wouldn't be too concerned about torque. It likely snugs with resistance from the blade.
