I am remodeling my kitchen. The floor is concrete and approximately 3/8″ out-of-level (gradual slope) over a 10′ distance. The wood flooring I will be installing requires that the concrete be within 1/8″ of level over a 10′ distance. Any suggestions (specific products and techniques)about how to bring the floor within the 1/8″ level specifications would be appreciated.

Michel,
There is a self leveling product called Ardex (I believe this is the correct spelling. You mix it up, pour it on a clean concrete floor and come back the next day and it is done. Just make sure it cannot flow into other rooms. You probably will not find this product at lowes.

P.S. Stay away from gypcrete.
*Seems like a bigger problem than it's worth. How did you determine that the floor is 3/8" out of level? If you're using a economy 4' level...man you got to check it better. By leveling this floor, you are going to encounter problems at cabinets, doorways and the such with the new floor height. What kind of wood product possibly require that the floor be so close to level??? Afterall, 3/8 is not all THAT dramatic ove 10 feet.Pete Draganic
