OK so it is not a tool for home building.
But is sure can make life easier this time of year.
It is a tool for checking and repairing those pesky little christmas lights that only half the string lights.
And it really does work. I just fixed 3 100 light strings.
Only gave $12.50 for it at Ace (on sale regular marked price was $25.00)
Anyone that use the small lights needs this tool.
Way cool.

The lights are only a buck LOL!
You mean the string of lights or the replacement bulbs? It is great to use if a section goes out once everything is strung and decorated. Or like on the lighted yard deer or a prestrung tree or, or, or.Stop stealing my thunder. :)Your right. You can by them cheap now a days. But it is a tool and I like tools!Russell

Well not everything. But now that I have this tool I am 1 step closer. :)Russell
I'm about to toss out all my old strings of christmas lights to go to LEDs. Changes the cost of lighting up the house to under $10.00 compared to the old $50.00 for the season..
LED's are the future of lighting. We will someday go that route. Brighter, last longer and cheaper to use.For now we will use what we have.Enjoy the season.Russell
I agree but I also expect that the price will tumble which is why I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
To replace all of my lights now with LEDs would cost nearly $500.00
I still won't be totally LED because I happen to love old fashioned bubble lites. (the kind with the big bulbs)
I still run a couple strings of c9 bulbs on the house cause that is what I grew up with.LED strings will slowly work their way into our decorations as time goes on but not all at once.Russell
Is this what you are striving for?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-xm0RUiZlM&feature=related
Ya right, I bought the tool to save 10 $2 light sets and to repair them without taking them down. That video is really cool. Can't imagine the elec bill.Russell
