In some of the larger mansions in my area that were built in the 1920’s, the homes had beautiful linen closets on the second floor that were huge and featured raised panel doors and built in drawers below. I suspect that a lot of these homes were served by butlers. I am trying to incorporate this idea into a remodel in my very modest home (certainly no butler here) and am having a hard time explaining what these things look like to my architect and builder. If anyone has aone of these in their home, could you please email me a photo so I can explain it to the guy that needs to build it? Thank you!

Try a google image search on each or the three terms,
"linen closet"
chiffarobe
and
armoire
You should find plenty of images for your architect and builder.

When I read your post I thought about how the shakers did built-ins, I know there is no raised panels but a trip to the book store and looking at shaker built houses will probably produce a pictue you could have them work from.
