We have to link nonmetallic cable coming from a junction box to wiremold to be mounted on a solid surface. The NM will serve a switch at the end of the run of wiremold. Does code allow NM to be run thru steel wiremold and how is the NM to be connected to the wiremold? Right now the NM is above a suspended ceiling.

The wire mold I have used has a 1/2" ko to enter. NMD rated at 90 degrees c (or whatever the f conversion is) should be fine.

There is a specific fitting that has a 1/2" KO on one end and a WM tongue on the other, with a cover. You use a romex connector and can make a ground connection inside it. We call it a "mouse" 'cause of it's shape.

Thanks, guys I'll find the connector you mentioned.
