Okay, so my husband (not a builder) has come up with the perfect house for us…a converted grain silo.
In addition to the usual, “why the heck would he want to do that?” does anyone have any suggestions? We are still in the planning stage. We wanted an old farmey look and had been working off my plans of a rustic barn-type house. He took that farm theme up a notch, to say the least. We live in the woods, so no, no neighbours and covenants etc to worry about. Also, no codes. Windows will be installed on tangents, spray on insuallation inside, leaving all pipes, ducts and fixtures exposed, coating outside with some sort of stucco/cement stuff so it looks like a castle…no laughing ok? This is as far as he got in planning.
He comes up with the ideas and i make them work.
If you say it can’t work, well then i will find another bunch of lunatics to ask.
Think outside the box guys/gals.
…and if you live in southeast texas and want to give it a shot…holler…
