Good morning everybody. Chasing a ghost in the ether here. Found a simple, zero bells and whistles, software program that calculates the dimensions of framing members for various geometries, wood species and loadings. Stumbled upon it while googling engineered wood products for a ridge beam application, realized that it is perfect for present requirements and purchased it……using an air card. Regrouped, back at home base, at a later date and found no record, credit card or otherwise. Fell off the aircard cliff. Regoogled. No luck. Does this ring a bell with anybody? This sounded like a small company. The basic presentation of tables and diagrams would make a favorable impression on those among us who just want engineering data. Inexpensive program. Hundred dollar range. Thanks. Work safe.

Piffin, An aircard is a mobile phone card. Slides in the ,uh, slot there on my notebook and can tx/rx wherever there is at least a couple of bar's worth of mobile phone signal. Slow, but works where wireless can't be found, like offshore of Key West or moored to a dock somewhere. 30 bucks a month, flat fee, for the cheap service. The card itself costs 75-100 bucks.
