I’m considering installing windows from Loewen, a Canadian company that manufactures all-fir windows and doors. Does anyone have any experience with the company or its products? Thanks.

I've done their doors. Use something else. Their bifolds are the pits. Haven't used the windows.
Who ever invented work didn't know how to fish....
I have been using their products for six years. I have been very happy with them. The quality has been outstanding. I have been particularly impressed with their insulation capability compared to other products I've used. I've installed the sliding patio doors, casements, and awnings as well as the fixed windows. The service has been excellent. I had a weather stripping problem on a 5 year old patio door. They were very quick to come in and repair. There is about a 6 week waiting period here, I'm a long way from Steinbach Manitoba where they are made.
We have used the windows for about a year and have been very impressed with the products, lead time, etc. My supplier gets better pricing onthe loewens as compard to marvin while the performance sppears to be at least equal.
The hardest part is overcomming the HO or architect wanting marvin/ pella/ weathershield due to far higher name recognition.
