Guys, what do you use for a long straight edge… 12-15 feet range… maybe 20. I have some great aluminum screeds for my tilework, but the longest is 6 feet, and haven’t found anything longer.

I've got a couple of 8' Johnsons I use for tile work, and one of them is fairly new, so I'm certain they're available.
But in the range you're talking about, I can only imagine wrestling and hauling a straight edge around the length you're considering, all the while trying to keep it in shape to continue to be a straight edge.
On long tile layouts, you can run your sixes or some 8' end to end, lining them up with another.
Or the laser thing that was mentioned.
be portable!
An eight foot Johnson?!
Me too.

pony
I have seen some tile guys use a 16' piece of siding for a straightedge 12" wide Masonite by 16' made a nice straight line.
One thing that can work pretty well is steel struts (sold for hanging mechanicals). Not as light as aluminum, but less likely to get bent in use, and cheap.
