Started a framing job requiring numerous joist hangers, and lots of tight spaces to be nailed. Decided to buy a palm nailer, just not sure whats junk and whats a good deal. Any one have expierience with the Jamerco brand? They have a kit with numerous accessories for a decent price. Senco and Craftsman are the same price but don’t even come with a case. It seems these little nailers take quite a beating. Some brands also come with O ring kits? Thanks Mark

I've seen these advertised in FHB before, but I don't have any experience with them. I just figured to give you another option. These come with soft face ends as well. Good for what I need driving bolts in hard to reach areas before torquing.
Let me know when you do get one and report your experience.
I had a dealer mention Danair to me today. He didn't tell me they are guaranteed for life. I think I will call him back and get the price on them. Thanks for that site. Like anyone I would just like the most for my money. Thanks Mark
Get the senco for $80 at HD. You will love it and wonder why did you wait to buy!!!
bought the jamerco kit on sale at woodworker's wharehouse.. about a year ago... great palm nailer.. the assy's come in handy..Mike Smith Rhode Island : Design / Build / Repair / Restore
that's what I was looking to hear. The unit only has a 2 year warr. but the dealer I buy from will back it. I liked the accessories as well and they offered the unit at a great price. Of course the Danair model was a lot more cost wise and came with the dealer comments about buying products made in Asia. thanks for the input
How long have you used your senco? I bought one to drive gutter spikes (works great), but it keeps blowing the diaphram out with only occasional use. I've spent $125 fixing a $90 tool.

Why would you want to nail your palms. Besides being a bit painful it just isn't, contrary to some illustrations, structurally sound. A spike through the bones of the wrists gives better results and is generally considered to be the quality methodology. It also prevents many of the call backs associated with people falling off of their mountings.
I applaud your bold innovation in using air tools to speed up production. I always just got by with a drilling hammer so I guess I'm a slacker. Productivity gains are what keep America great and American workers #1.
I always just got by with a drilling hammer...
Is that similar to a screw hammer? You know, for those newfie round socket screws that need to go a little deeper?
I bought the Jamerco 3 years ago for the same reason, crew loved it , called it the "Jammin Jerico"...used it for one season, then picked up a Paslode Positive placement hanger nailer on e-bay for $175.00. The Jamerco has never left the shop since.
The HD stores here don't carry palm nailers, so I bought one from Lowes for $79. Tradesman brand I think. No case or anything, just the tool with a leather padded glove. Works well. Especially useful in tight spaces, and to keep the tennis elbow and arthritis in check.
Keep your receipt ELCID72, I bought one of those Tradesman, it was junk. It worked great for about a month, light use. Then it started getting harder and harder to activate. Then it started oozing the oil out of the gasket and finally just stopped working in under 2 months. Maybe drove half pound of 3" nails total. I took it back, Lowes gave me my money back, no problem.
Keith-
Knew about the Paslode tico nailer but never seen or used it. I'm assuming it fits just fine between 16"oc. joists?

yep, fits nicely. Don't leave home without it.
