innotek: My recommendation would be to check out Occidental Leather. Lots of set ups to choose from. I have the Pro Framer Leather set and love 'em. Here's a link:

I bought my first Occidental Bags 10 years ago. I absolutely love them. After 6 years they were still good enough to have stolen off my job site by a carpenter that quit. I've since replaced them with the same. I expect, unless their stolen , never to have to buy another set.

Occidental Leather is the only way to go. They have lots of different models to choose from now including nylon and leather combinations. Don't skimp on this!
I bought these a month or two ago

So far they are great, the two side pouches on one side, and the one on the other side make it easy to separate nails/screws, the tape holder is in a handy location, You can hang your hammer either at your side, or around back. They hold a lot, the belt itself is very comfortable the speed square slot is also a big plus. The other pouches are plenty big, and the right side pouch has a few slots inside of it for organizing your knife, nail sets, etc.
The only downsides I've found are the heat, they hug your body pretty good, and the weight, that bags themselves are not that heavy, but since they hold a lot, I tend to overload, and it gets a bit heavy.
Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, Professionals built the Titanic.
Another vote for occidental. If your a 'do it all' and like having lots of tools at hand it's a geat set.
Let's not confuse the issue with facts!
I had trouble finding the right tool belt system, and decided to find the the right seperate components to make it. Between HD, Menards, and my favourite hardware store, all the parts came together for the Frankenstein belt. rg
Hi, the latest JLC had a review of the oxy Tool Chest. It is sort of a cross between suspenders and a vest. The reviewer liked it. Has anyone else tried it?
Diamondback USA. Very expensive. Worth it.
A new feature that Jim is putting on the belt (if you ask for it) is a keeper that suspenders attach to. Keeps the belt from going cattywompus from the suspender clips.

Last I heard Diamondback was out of business. I've heard good things about their toolbelts and it's great to see they're back in business albeit on a smaller scale.
ah they are back, time to order a diamondback... Now which one...
thanks for the info. I ordered up a diamond back. they are pricey but to I always say it is better to pay to much for a quality product than pay too little for something that dose not do the job.
Y'all are all wrong. Here is a link to the absolute best tool belt ever.

Care to argue the point? ;)
Yeah, I'll aruge it.
They would get warm wrapped around your waist, I like the over the shoulder 6 can insulated carriers, Looks kind of like a camel pack.Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark, Professionals built the Titanic.
By the time i use my last tool I'll be a flooring installer.
I give my vote to Diamondback tool belts. I own a set and have had them for about five years now (three years of which was residential framing) and they are showing no signs of giving up. One negative is the belt-it is strong but seems to be in the way when bending/moving. I bought a belt from Klein tools (the same company that makes the electrical tool in Skokie, Illinois) and this seemed to solve the problem. Occidental would have been my next choice if diamond back stayed out of business.
build your own from McRose leather http://www.mcroseleathers.com/ - they have many choices of special pouches. I have different pouches for different kinds of work.
hope this helps. rich
