I need help in selecting a garage door for a new residential garage. The opening is 16 by 8 and I’d like some recommendations on brands of sectional ans roll-up doors; I hear that Clopay doors are very good. I’m not looking for a custom made door, just a high quality sectional or roll-up. A recent issue of Fine Homebuilding ran an article on sectional doors, but did not mention roll-ups. Are there decent roll-ups that can be used in residential applications?
Is there an automatic opener for roll-ups? I realize that a roll-up probably couldn’t be insulated, but that ‘s not a great concern here in Southern California.
