Here is the dilemma, a customer has a 3 gang switch that they would like moved onto a side panel of a refrigerator end panel. <!—-><!—-><!—->
Total depth is 1-1/2″.<!—-><!—->
That allows for breathing room between the fridge and the back of the box. <!—-><!—->
I can find the box I need in a single and double but not a triple.<!—-> <!—->
Any ideas? <!—-><!—->

Sorry for the delay. If 1-5/8's would work. Check Raco (hubbell-raco) Now evidently you'll need a plaster ring for this box, but there's more to sort through.

You can also check RV supply and repair shops.

Praise the Corporation, for the Corporations' highest concern is the well being of the public.
Judging from some of the things I see in walls, i'd say just forgo the box! Screw the switches to the drywall and call it good.:>)
Hell its the side panel of a fridge unit, much better holding power then the drywall!

IIRC, I bought some gangable outlet boxes at Home Depot (I think) last year. They are 1.5" deep. I had to remove the side plate from each one and drill them for conduit, which is why I remember them being gangable. If you can't find them at HD, try Lowes, but I think I found them at HD.
THX for the ideas, HD and Lowes are a no, but excelent Idea about RV's and I have a shop about three miles away.
Any good electrical supply house should have the gangable switch boxes with the removable sides.
