Looking for Dec85/Jan86 to copy or buy

| Posted in Reader Classified on January 5, 2003 03:43am

Hello! I don’t know what issue # this is, but I am looking for the Dec85/Jan 86 issue.

If no one can part with it, would someone be able to make copies of 4 of the articles in it for me? I’m doing a research project on round homes and concrete homes, and this issue looks like the motherload! Thanks! My email address is debsurvil@hotmail.com

Have lots of FHB, but musta been poor that year. Still, recently I built a round, concrete house. For tons of info, http://www.monolithic.com . Give a yell if any of it needs interpretation.

It's #30. What kind of deadline are you looking at? Is inter-library loan a possibility? Have you looked on eBay?

    deb-can you download this?

Character? I never had any problem with character. Why, people've been telling me I was one every since I was a kid.

Posting copyrighted material here without explicit permission from the copyright holder is frowned on. Posting Taunton copyrighted material is especially tacky, since they're paying for this forum that we use for free.

How would she go about finding her 17 year old article. Taunton doesn't sell single articles from the mag or I would have recommended that. Their backissue supply doesn't go back that far. I try to help a lady find an out of print article from 17 years ago and you say it's tacky.

I suppose I could have told to buy the FH Disc set.Character? I never had any problem with character. Why, people've been telling me I was one every since I was a kid.

I think it's great that you're trying to help, but being helpful doesn't excuse copyright violations. Posting copyrighted materials is a violation of the rules you agreed to when you registered to use this forum, and the fact that #30 is out of print doesn't change the rules. Since you have a copy of the magazine, you could offer to mail hard copies, or e-mail jpeg scans. Those would also be copyright violations, but not quite the thumb in the eye that posting here is.

I'm not one to make waves and try to be one willing to stand corrected. I see now that this is a definite grey area and emailed Taunton as to the proper etiquette. I will stand behind their desires.

I don't see how anybody could ask for more. :)

Hi debsurvil- I don't know if your desired articles from FH issue #30 will be here but if you go to the FH home page you'll find an 'online archive' listing that has many old articles for sale that you can browse thru by author, title or a category reference.

If you cannot locate what you need there, old FH issues are continually sold on EBay in the magazine section under books. If I had a double copy I'd send it to ya but that's about all I can do as I value all my single copies and the world's 'thought police' have a hired gun out after me now. They are in aggressive pursuit so I'm going to go and crawl back under my rock.:O)

    and oh yeah...

Character? I never had any problem with character. Why, people've been telling me I was one every since I was a kid.
