Looking for help to create a translucent wall similar to Kalwall for an addition

Hi all –
I’m doing a small addition in an urban neighborhood. It will be a second story loft like space and we would like to have as much natural light as possible along with privacy. On two sides we would like to use a translucent wall of some kind (see images). I was looking online and found Kalwall – it seems like it would be perfect but I’m worried it may be very expensive. Does anyone have any tips or experience in using a material like this to try and achieve this same effect? Need it to have insulating properties so I don’t create a greenhouse (even though I know it looks like one). Thank you so much for any help or tips!

Greenhouse suppliers sell a simlar product for greenhouse walls. No idea if it would pass code but you could try.
