Hi, I seem to remember an article (or advertisement) in FHB where there is a reference to a tough, thick long lasting plastic that can be used on dirt surfaces underneath houses (sealed to foundation with expanding foam) to block moisture passing into a house. It’s not just a thick poly.
Does anyone remember this or have a reference to a source for such a product?
Thanks in advance,

under a house.. you can use anything you want.. but the natural enemy of poly is sunlight.. so a 6 mil poly is really all you need...
i've been in lots of crawls that had poly installed in the '70's.. some of the 4 mils got torn by the trades..
but the 6 mil were just fine.. and usually tough enough to take it..
when we put down poly we throw about 2" of sand to keep it down and protect it..
*TuTuff?
*I use white plastic that the marinas use to shrink wrap boats for winter storage. It is tough and the white makes the space bright and easy to work in.near the stream,aj
*I use a cross-laminated poly. I forget what the brand name is, but it's for use under concrete pours and you can get it at anyplace that is a decent masonry supply house.Steve
*Tu-Tuff was the name that I was looking for. It's manufactured by Sto-Cote products. Thanks for the info.
*http://efi.org has it.
