Anyone know of any contractors hiring in the Pinedale, Wyoming area? We are relocating there from Georgia at the end of the month.

Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

Driggs is about 110 miles from Pinedale.

I did see that ad, however, it is steep on the expectations. Also, 110 miles is quite a drive during the winter, don't you think?
Jay,
You are moving out to the west. You need to stop thinking of things in east coast mileage terms but western terms 110 miles is a decent jaunt. After a decade or so 110 miles will seem like in the next town..
In Wyoming many times 110 miles doesn't just seem like the next town, it IS the next town. <g>I sometimes wish my commute going to work was still that Wyoming 100 miles compared to going across town here

yeah... 100 WY miles = less than less than 100 minutes
sometimes way less. ;)

Each time I go through Wyoming it seems as though the entire state is blowing eastward. Just wait downwind long enough and it will come to you....The unspoken word is capital. We can invest it or we can squander it. -Mark Twain...Be kind to your children....they will choose your nursing home....aim low boys, they're ridin' shetland ponies !!
Less you are in southern Wyoming, then all of the cr*p blows out of Colorado. That's why i lived in NE Wyoming. Figured I'd end up there anyway. <g>

One Christmas we were headed up to my parents' house. Sunday night--we'd left pretty late--by about midnight we were half an hour outside (east) of Missoula, Montana--deserted car along the road. Fifteen minutes later there was a person walking toward town--picked him up. He'd had just under a quarter tank of gas when he went through Butte--figured he'd just wait till the next town--but all three of them were closed for the night. He was from New Jersey, never been out west, but was marrying someone from Missoula--had driven out to spend Christmas with her and her family. He was fortunate that it wasn't windy or particularly cold that night!

We drive 180 miles to get to an airport (not a major hub but bigger than our local airstrip). There's a place with two gas stations that work, and two other places that have deserted gas stations. We drive 95 miles to get to a HomeDepot--Lowes, Menards, etc. would be twice that. Not uncommon for people to drive the 180 miles one-way for special shopping trips--stay overnight with friends or in a motel.

I'm from Oklahoma, now in NW FL but people here act like 30 miles is in another country.
better look into housing, I hear that area is very busy with all the drilling going on there. Not many places I'd rather be though
I just ran across your post today. Pinedale and much of the country around that part of Wyoming has a lot of large vacation home building and you'll want to get acquainted with it early on. The millionares are being pushed out of Jackson and into the likes of Pinedale by the billionares. The guys who build in town are typically lower on the totem pole and compete more on price.
Move around a little without burning bridges to get a feel for the better contractors that fit with your personal style. Many times you'll have to be a finish carp in the winter or work will dry up till spring. The build sites are often off the beaten track and you won't find them by driving in town. Ask the lumber yards who the better custom builders are and where they are working.
If you have some extra time and want to work in Driggs for a spell let me know. Although the requirements are high overall, for any given period of time we're doing a relatively limited number of things and tool needs can be minimal.
Good luck
